Sestriere, a must-visit destination for mountain lovers

The Territory

The Colle del Sestriere stands at 2,035 metres above sea level, straddling the Susa and Chisone valleys. A jewel among international ski resorts, it holds the record for the greatest number of Alpine Ski World Cup races held on its slopes, including the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics and the 1997 World Championships. The greatest skiing and cycling champions have passed through here on the legendary stages of the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France.

In summer, athletics champions can be seen training on the slopes; the International Meeting has been held here several times with top athletes. An 18-hole golf course (the highest in Europe) is available for enthusiasts. Our mountains offer walking and mountain-bike trails for all levels.

The Municipal Swimming Pool, the federation-approved athletics track, the football pitch and the Sports Centre (sauna, hot room, jacuzzi, basketball, volleyball) are all waiting for you if you fancy trying your hand.
